Emotional intelligence (28 October)

Emotional intelligence

Emotional intelligence  is a critical ability when it comes to interpersonal communication. It is a hot topic, not only in psychology, but in the business world, as it can affect business largely. Today’s professionals need to cope with lots of factors in order to succeed in life.

Emotional intelligence, sometimes referred to as EQ (Emotional quotient), refers to a person’s ability to recognize, understand, manage, and reason with emotions. This ability also involves using this emotional understanding to make decisions, solve problems, and communicate with others. It is all about understanding the self, controlling and tweaking the expression of emotion appropriately, keeping an optimistic outlook towards life by self motivation, understanding others perspectives and influencing others effectively for positive outcomes.

You will learn all about it in the X Honours inspiration session of 28 October. The inspiration session will be led by Thomas Gitopoulos, one of our coaches in Meppel.
