We’d like to welcome all onboarding students and the advanced students of Emmen, Groningen and Meppel in our Honours session on Wednesday 13 March to play and test a very relevant serious game. Advanced students in Leeuwarden will have a separate programme, but we will all start together.
When a student’s life… happens!
We will be playing a game that is newly developed by Andy (Andreas) Ebert, Masterstudent of RUG and running his internship at NHL Stenden. The game is primarily designed around the lives of Associate Degree students. We all know that (student) life can be chaotic, and that life events and issues of diversity and inclusion affect student’s lives. In this game session we will each slip into the role of an AD student and experience first-hand what it is like when life… happens!
The issues discussed in the game also transcend to issues of bachelor’s and master’s students. You can think of all kinds of issues, like financial issues, mental & physical health, life events, LGBTQIA+, etc.
This game was designed to be for university staff to think from the perspective of a student, but your opinion and point of view on this game really matters, and we are sure that all participants: staff, students and other, can gain from playing this game and from slipping in the perspective of another person.
We are very eager to play the game with you and hear your input! Tea and coffee will be ready and we will make a nice session together.
Come join!
Andy
