Autumn break is coming and it’s time to play some games!
This session’s purpose is gaining basic knowledge of interdisciplinary collaboration. Therefore, we will play a game to explore your own strengths and how to use them in a group to reach a common goal.
Minecraft Education
Almost every student is familiar with the game called Minecraft and has probably played it multiple times. For everyone that doesn’t know: Minecraft is a multiplayer sandbox game where you have a blocky world to explore and build in. You can go on adventures and find treasure around the infinite world. But be careful, threats are are everywhere, so you’ll need some good gear! How about some diamond tools and armour? Well, you will first have to mine for it in the numerous dark caves, full of dangerous creatures such as zombies, skeletons, and more! Maybe it’s a better idea to stay above ground and pet your dog, feed the cows, and find yourself some entertainment from dolphins?
In this inspiration session we are going to play with another version of Minecraft, which is called Minecraft Education Edition. This version is specifically made for educational purposes and has some extra features that you won’t find in the normal editions of Minecraft.
Bring your own laptop to the session and install Minecraft Education Edition in advance to make it easier for yourself and save some time in the session. The instructions for downloading and installing are below.
