Let´s talk! (March 24)

Have you ever been in a situation where someone gave you feedback and you had no idea what it was about? Or that someone said something, but the way it was done caused you to not hear what was said? That you became angry or defensive? Or that you wanted to address someone about a behavior but found it difficult to do? Or that you felt an uncomfortable atmosphere but did not know how to break through it?

In the inspiration session of X-Honours we are going to talk about conversation situations. In conversation situations we usually think immediately of giving feedback and most people know the rules of the game. Yet sometimes we have trouble giving and receiving feedback. Why is that? Are there other forces that influence the way we have conversations? Using transactional analysis, the drama triangle and Leary’s rose, we show and let you experience how these three techniques influence the process of having conversations.

All students from NHL Stenden are welcome to join this session. It will be hosted in Microsoft Teams “X-Honours Community” (channel “Info for all”), starting at 14.30 hrs. You can ‘walk in’ 15 minutes earlier and have a chat if you like.
