This week’s X-Honours inspiration session is prepared by two X-Honours’ students: Annet van der Meulen and Laura Mulder. They will help us explore the Dutch perspective towards the upcoming elections in the USA.
Why are we so occupied with the US elections?
Elections in The Netherlands are vastly different compared to those in the US. The European media influences our view on the elections and the latest updates. Developments are widely broadcasted worldwide. Maybe even more so than our own elections. What are the differences in the systems? What are the pros and cons of the US system and what is our European view on the US electoral system? And sometimes, it even seems like we are more occupied with the American elections than we are with our own. What is the reason for this? That’s what we’re going to explore upcoming Wednesday, May 13.
We will cast the session in Blackboard Collaborate, starting at 14.30 hrs. You can enter 15 minutes earlier. All students from NHL Stenden are welcome to join. Just click here to enter.
Students that are subscribed to X-Honours are asked to join via the X-Honours’ Blackboard course.
